One of the standout features of golfing in Gearhart is the accessibility of its public courses. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting to swing, you'll find something to suit your skill level.

The historic Gearhart Golf Links is less than a mile from the Drifthaven and offers a classic links-style layout. With its roots tracing back to 1892, this prestigious golf course is the oldest course west of the Mississippi. Stepping onto these hallowed fairways is like stepping back in time, where golfers of all eras have tested their mettle. The stunning ocean views and challenging fairways make it a must-play.

The Highlands Golf Club course offers a relaxed atmosphere with 9-hole and 18-hole options. The beautiful tree-lined fairways provide a unique contrast to the coastal courses.

Just a short drive away, the Seaside Golf Course is known for its affordability and picturesque views. Its 9-hole design is an excellent choice for beginners.

Good Times, just steps away from Drifthaven, welcomes guests with open arms, creating an inviting atmosphere. New owners, grammy winner André Anjos (known as RAC) and model Ireland Baldwin, daughter of Alec and actress Kim Basinger, traded the bustling pace of Los Angeles for the tranquil allure of Gearhart. Good Times features breakfast, lunch and coffee selections during the day. For dinner, the menu has innovative small plates and a selection of biodynamic wines, expertly curated to enhance the flavors of the food. Pacific Way Café is another local landmark and neighbor. The menu boasts an eclectic mix of Pacific Northwest flavors, showcasing the region's abundant seafood. From the mouthwatering Dungeness Crab & Bay Shrimp Cakes to the delicious Togarashi Halibut, every dish is a testament to the chef's dedication to freshness and quality. Currently, the restaurant serves dinner Thursday through Saturday and reservations can be made here. And if you're craving a morning treat or a steaming cup of coffee, their bakery and coffee shop is open Thursday through Sunday, 8 am to 1 pm.
